Srinagarindra BTS Station

The Srinagarindra BTS Station, a new addition to the BTS Skytrain network in Samut Prakan, is a testament to the city’s continuous development. Despite being a new station, it has quickly become an integral part of the city’s transportation system.

Srinagarindra BTS Station

The station is not crowded, making it a comfortable space for passengers. It features a card vending machine that accepts both banknotes and coins, providing convenience for commuters. An escalator leads up from the station floor to the platform level, ensuring easy access for all passengers. The station is kept clean and is free from the clutter of shops selling items upstairs.

Located not far from the electricity intersection, the station is within walking distance. However, the area can be quite dark at night, so caution is advised. For those who take the bus to Srinakarin Road, it’s important to note that you must walk from the station and crossing the road can be quite difficult.

The station is also accessible for wheelchair users, with a wheelchair-accessible car park, entrance, and toilet. These amenities, including toilets, ensure that all passengers can use the station comfortably. Other venues are also the Bangkok Grill in Central Bangkok.

Markets

In addition to the Srinagarindra BTS Station, Samut Prakan is home to several other notable places. The Samut Prakan Market, known for its cheap and varied selection of fresh seafood, is a great place for locals to do their marketing. The Hua Ko Market is another famous fresh market where you can shop for fresh seafood, vegetables, and fruits. It also offers otop samutprakarn. For those who drive, parking is conveniently provided right next to the market.

From 4pm onwards, the Racha Market comes alive with a lane full of local street food vendors selling traditional and authentic Thai food at very reasonable prices. It’s an awesome place to experience the local cuisine.

The Pak Nam Market is one of my favorite morning markets. Here, you can find the best moo ping in Thailand, among many other delicious food stalls like Kow moo daeng and cafe bolan. It’s a culinary delight!

Temples

Samut Prakan is also home to several temples. The Wat Klang Worawihan, located on Si Samut Road, Tambon Pak Nam, is a temple from the late Ayutthaya period. Another notable religious site is the City Pillar Shrine Paknam, located on Prakhon Chai road. Known to locals as Paknam, it’s unusual because it’s a combination of a Chinese Shrine and a Thai city pillar. This shrine is regarded as the foundation stone for Samut Prakan City.

The Robinson Lifestyle Samut Prakan is the best-known place for shopping, dining, and activities for kids in the Samut Prakan area. It’s just a 2-minute walk from Srinagarindra BTS Station. Note also that the stations either side of the station is the Phraek Sa Station and the Sau Luat Station. Lastly also see Wat Arun in Central Bangkok.

In conclusion, the Srinagarindra BTS Station, with its strategic location and the variety of services it offers, has transformed the way the people of Samut Prakan commute, shop, and socialize. It stands as a testament to the positive impact of well-planned urban development. Lastly also see other stations such as the SRT Lak Hok Station as well as Santichai Prakan Park in Central Bangkok.
