The Siam Journey Guesthouse is a small backpackers hostel in Bangkok which is not well known and is located on a small street in Bangkok which most taxi drivers would not know. It is a very decent hostel and has been reviewed a number of times on Agoda which gives to top marks being a 7.5/10. Coming in at less than US$10 per night it is mainly for solo travellers across Asia where one can exchange stories and advice with others trekking in Asia.

You cannot beat this hostel on price and location! The hostel is located very close to the BTS Phaya Thai Station but also very close to the BTS Phaya Thai Airport Link station as you can see on the map. The hostel is well kept and there is an option of two rooms at the hostel. The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly at the hostel and they do offer safety deposit boxes. What this hostel does provide is a very good social environment for backpackers.
Our stay in a double room at this guesthouse was quite an experience. The friendly and accommodating staff left a positive impression, making us feel welcome. The neighborhood was pleasantly quiet, providing a peaceful environment for our stay.
One of the key advantages of this guesthouse is its strategic location, conveniently close to both the airport rail link and the Skytrain station. This accessibility makes getting around Bangkok a breeze.
However, it’s worth noting that the guesthouse does not have en-suite bathrooms, although we were aware of this before booking. The shower room, while functional, was a bit on the cramped side. One minor challenge we encountered was finding the guesthouse’s exact location, even with printed directions from Google Maps. (GPS: 13.75547780924658, 100.53129786758714). Despite these minor inconveniences, the guesthouse’s strong points include its cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and the option to store luggage for those with late departures. Being within a 15-minute walk of the Siam Shopping Centers adds to its appeal, making it a reasonable choice for travelers looking for convenience and affordability in Bangkok.
