Nice Palace Hotel

The Nice Palace Hotel is a budget hotel in Bangkok close to the weekend market. The rooms are in the US$15 per night range and in this price range there is nothing really fancy about the hotel. It has all the amenities which other hotels offer however noting the price it does offer good value for money.

If you are looking at travelling Thailand on a budget then this hotel would be perfect as it is not only located 400 meters from the BTS Saphan Khwai station but also 5 minutes ride away from the large Mo Chit Bus Station or also known as the Northern Bus Terminal which takes you all across Thailand by long distance bus.

There are a number of shopping malls close by the hotel and also the JJ Weekend Market which is also known as the Chatuchak Market in Bangkok. The hotel offers room service, a restaurant , salon and safety deposit boxes while at the hotel. Overall the hotel is very basic but the location and the price range makes it worth a stay if you are planing on touring Thailand or staying in Thailand for an extended period of time on a budget. It is very similar to Mansion Sarasinee in the same area just a bit further away from the BTS.

I’m delighted with this hotel; the staff is both welcoming and professional. I arrived earlier than expected, around 9:00 am, and within a few minutes, they efficiently arranged my check-in at no additional cost. For seasoned travelers, it’s reassuring to know they have coin-operated laundry machines within the hotel, making it very convenient. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Location

The hotel offers complimentary car parking and Wi-Fi, allowing you the freedom to stay connected and come and go as you please. Nestled in the Chatuchak area of Bangkok, it places you conveniently close to various attractions and enticing dining options. Don’t forget to explore the famous Wat Phra Chetuphon during your stay. On-site amenities like a restaurant and spa add to the overall convenience.

We visit Bangkok every two months, sometimes even monthly, and when we come to Saphankwai, we never consider other hotels. This hotel meets our needs: clean, straightforward, and affordable, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep. We don’t waste time hunting for hotels. The location is excellent, just 800 meters or a short 2-minute walk from BTS Saphan Kwai. The check-in process is straightforward; you only need to provide your booking name and a 500-baht deposit. You’ll receive the deposit back upon check-out. I love this hotel; we usually stay for 2-3 nights.

There are plenty of good food options nearby. While it may not be the newest, the rooms are clean enough for our preferences. We aren’t looking for a 3-5 star hotel; we simply want a good night’s sleep. If that’s what you’re after, this hotel is perfect. If not, make a reservation in advance to avoid any booking limitations, as it’s a popular choice due to its affordability and quality. Lastly also see the Ekkamai Bus Station on here as well as the BTS Victory Monument.
