The MRT Lumphini Station is a very busy station and it is the subway station after the MRT Khlong Toei Station and the MRT Silom Station in Bangkok. There are a number of embassies in the area and many high-rise buildings. The are is well known with Silom as being the CBD of Bangkok. There are also a number of high-end hotels and apartments in the area. As for restaurants you will be spoilt for choice at this stations area as we have listed some of them below.
MRT Lumphini Station
Clean and comfortable, the MRT Lumphini Station offers easy access to the night market and the old town. Furthermore, it is part of an efficient subway system that ensures convenient transportation.
The MRT Silom and MRT Lumphini stations both technically bring you to Lumphini Park, so you can choose either option to reach the park. The careful planning of these stations allows for seamless access to the park, catering to the needs of visitors.
To experience the MRT system, I decided to take the train from Lumphini MRT to Silom MRT station. The cost of the ride was 16 Baht per person, providing affordable transportation. However, if you are specifically visiting Lumphini Park, it is advisable not to disembark at Lumphini MRT station. Instead, getting down at Silom MRT station is more convenient. Despite the initially intimidating size of the escalators, the overall ride quality was excellent, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable journey.
