The Hua Lamphong Hostel is well located close to the river and the start of the MRT (subway) system in Thailand. The hostel is well known and rated well on Agoda. The amenities are modern and the price fits well into the price range of most backpackers. The hostel was built in 2010 into a shop house in the area. Its a good location for exploring Bangkok on a budget.

There is free Wifi in all the rooms and the hostel offers a restaurant, airport transfer (800 THB) and breakfast at 800 THB if it was not included in the booking price. The hostel is located in China Town in Bangkok and is about 2km from the famous Khaosan Road where most backpackers go to hangout. The hostel is modern and is good value for money and convenience to travel. The restaurant is also very good!
Location
Firstly it is nestled within a charming and inviting setting, the establishment offers a sense of warmth and comfort. Secondly the staff members are not only welcoming but also enthusiastic and readily supportive. During my stay in the mixed dormitory room, I had the privilege of interacting with fellow travelers hailing from diverse corners of the globe. Notably, the location holds proximity to the MRT Hua Lamphong train station, the MRTs, and the interprovincial train station.
For a span of three months, this became my abode of choice. The timing was ideal as I was in the process of obtaining my Thai Non-O Visa and retirement extension. The owner’s assistance was invaluable; she graciously crafted a short-term lease to meet the stipulations set by Thai Immigration.
Incredibly accommodating, they even extended their hospitality to my chihuahua pup, allowing us to share the space. My stay here was nothing short of wonderful. The staff exhibited exceptional dedication and were consistently attentive to my needs. Positioned on the top floor, my room lacked scenic vistas, yet the central city location more than compensated for it. I was pleased to find that all amenities in the room functioned flawlessly.
Likewise one of the highlights was the unparalleled accessibility to the metro system. Likewise, a definite boon for exploring the city. Moreover, the establishment houses a restaurant where delectable meals are served. Lastly providing an added layer of convenience and enjoyment.
