Baan Paknam Hotel

Thai FlagSee the Baan Paknam Hotel. To visit the ancient city attractions, I chose to stay nearby. Consequently, accessing places like Sanxiang and the ancient city became very convenient. With a 7-11, subway, and shopping mall within a kilometer downstairs, deciding between walking and taking a taxi depended on the tiredness level. While the overall cleanliness of the hotel was satisfactory, the customer service was quite warm, despite some noise issues due to morning cleaning.

All the displayed photos are authentic. The room is well-appointed, though I had a moment of surprise when closing the door and seeing myself in the mirrored wardrobe door! Everything in the room functioned properly, and the bed, typical in Thailand, was a bit firm. Parking might pose a challenge for large trucks, requiring early arrival to avoid stress. Directly across the road, there’s a street cafe offering good food at great value. The room, though basic, is very clean and functional. A quality shower, a comfortable bed, and friendly staff enhance the experience. A fantastic local restaurant is just 100 meters away, and the hotel is conveniently located within a 20-meter walk to the Robinson center and a 7-minute walk from the Kheha BTS Station. While there’s traffic noise from the adjacent bus road, it’s not a significant concern given the reasonable price.

During my six-month stay in this building under a contract.  I appreciated the presence of an elevator and accessible washing machines for 30 or 40 baht. However, the bus stop requires a 5-10 minute walk. This while the nearest train station is reachable by bike for 15-20 baht, taxi for 35 baht, or bus for 8 baht, or a walk for 18 minutes. Despite being relatively new, the hotel is getting started and offers a good, clean stay for 20 Euros.

For a week-long stay, the guest room was impeccably clean with considerate service, English-speaking front desk staff, and various amenities. Although the weather occasionally brought a faint unpleasant smell, the overall experience was positive.
